The mind-Blowing amount that Manchester United’sfan favorite will earn in new contract deal

Marcus Rashford is beloved by the Old Trafford faithful

With Premier League title challengers Liverpool visiting Old Trafford this gameweek for the most highly-anticipated fixture this weekend, 13-time champions Manchester United face their toughest test yet to maintain their unbeaten league run under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United can take it to a big fat round 10 matches on the bounce in the league without the slightest taste of defeat.

When the reverse was played back in December, the 3-1 win for the Anfield hosts sounded the death knell for Jose Mourinho’s reign as manager, with the Baby-Faced Assassin stepping in to create happy faces.

United therefore have – in some twisted way – their hated rivals to thank for the past two months, which has seen the Red Devils become the in-form team in the English top tier and gearing up to solidify a top-four spot in order for Champions League qualification next year.

One other person responsible for that scintillating streak, aside from the ‘99 hero is Mancunian Marcus Rashford, leading the line for his boyhood club and returning six goals in eight appearances under Solskjaer, notably coming from his favoured centre-forward position.

Preceding that, Rashford had tallied just three for the season up until the beginning of December.

The 21-year-old is now set to rewarded with a brain-mashing £200k a week, supposedly in order to ward off mooted interested parties from abroad (we’re looking at you, Madrid) and make it one of the highest paid player in the league.

Rashford burst on the scene in the latter year of the Louis van Gaal era, with his current contract running until 2020 and earning him a modest £45,000 per week.

Though massive for the mere mortal, to put this in perspective, this is less than outcast full-back Matteo Darmian, summer signing Diogo Dalot (who’s also two years younger), and back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

Rashford’s new deal is set to run until 2025, reports The Mail.
