Sonko places man who smuggled child as part of beautification project

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko offered Boniface Murage a job as part of the team working towards his Nairobi beautification project.

The 22-year-old began working today (Thursday 21) as part of the city council workers.

This comes after Sonko had previously bailed Murage from his child’s Sh56,937 hospital bill at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

On February 18th, Murage also appeared before Milimani Law Courts Magistrate Muthoni Nzibi and pleaded guilty to the charge after which he was handed a three-month non-custodial sentence.

He was caught by the hospital’s security guards trying to sneak his baby out of hospital in a bag, without paying the hospital bill.
