SAMSUNG gave Apple some fresh competition on Wednesday, at the gadget-tactic Galaxy Unpacked event.
The annual event saw Samsung unleash a flurry of new devices – this time, the Galaxy S10 smartphone is the focus, as well as the new Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone.
The event kicked off on Wednesday at 7 pm UK time and was live-streamed around the world from San Francisco.
Samsung already wrapped up the press conference. They had loads of announcements, including the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e smartphones. The South Korean tech giant also surprised us with an early reveal of the Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone – which doubles up as a tablet.
Finally, Samsung announced a Galaxy S10 5G Edition, although this won’t be with us until “early summer”.That’s all, but we’re expecting to see more of the Galaxy Fold at next week’s MWC 2019 tech show in Barcelona
Samsung has confirmed pricing for its Galaxy S10 trio in the UK.
For the Galaxy S10, you’ll pay £799 for the base model, while the Galaxy S10+ is slightly more expensive at £899 (though still cheaper than Apple’s £999 iPhone XS)
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S10 trio begun on February 20 – and if you place an order early, you’ll also get a free pair of wireless Galaxy Buds (worth £139).
