Questions re being raised as to why Prof Anyang Nyongo administration withdrew a list of nominees that was awaiting vetting by the County Assembly of Kisumu.
The members having passed the interviews by a private firm was set to sit in the County Public Service Board.
The list had been sent to the Assembly for vetting and verification until an applicant- former Nyakach MP Peter Odoyo and others raised questions over it prompting its recalling.
MCAs Prisca Auma and Florence Olang’o (nominated) said the MCAs were also taken by the surprise withdrawal of the list.
Mr Odoyo claimed the appointment of the Board members has been shrouded in controversy.
It could not immediately be confirmed why the executive recalled he list they had submitted to the Assembly.
Kisumu Senator Fred Outa said he did not want to comment on the matter.
