Two commercial flghts, Fly 540 and Jambo that were headed to Kisumu on Tuesday evening had to be diverted to Nairobi.
Airport officials revealed that the two flights were affected by bad weather.
“They (flights) had to be redirected back to Nairobi. They later returned and landed safely at the Kisumu International Airport when the weather was favourable,” said Charles Chetalam, an official at the Kisumu International Airport.
