Governor targeted in early morning raid as graft war intensifies.

A Rift Valley County governor was Wednesday morning raided by EACC detectives over what they described as corruption a corruption case involving billions of tax-payers money.

Samburu gorvernor, Moses Kasaine woke to the prying eyes of EACC detectives who held him for hours inside his Karen home in what appeared to be interrogation.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission was set up almost decade ago with the mandate identifying and expediting corruption cases in the country.

Corruption is said to be swallowing a significant chunk of the total government allocations to the devolved units.

No one apart from family members and detectives were allowed inside the compound.

An aide to the governor said that the governor was inside his house.

“The governor is in,” he told journalists.

By time of going to publishing the Nation could see members of his family seated outside the house.
