Ex-gov't employee accused of stealing Ksh.12M fined Ksh.600K

A former cashier who is accused of unlawful acquiring Ksh.12, 980,000 from the ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology
in 2011 was on Tuesday arraigned and charged.

Perminus K. Njoroge was fined Ksh.600,000 or an alternative of 1 year imprisonment.

The Directorate of Public Prosecutions has stated that they will, however, appeal the ruling.

Former cashier with Ministry of higher education, science & technolog Perminus K. Njoroge fined sh 600,000 or 1 year imprisonment for unlawful acquisition of sh 12, 980,000 from Ministry in 2011.
