Governor of Samburu Moses Kasaine is in hot soup after officers from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) raided his home armed with search warrants, over the suspected loss of Ksh 2billion, today.
County officials homes and offices have not been spared too, as EACC detectives are rummaging through files and documents to find any connection they have with the lost money.
The officers said they have been alerted over a series of suspicious expenditure of public funds in the devolved unit and were combing the houses to find all the necessary evidence in connection to the lost money.
Other officials targeted in the investigations include directors and contractors from various companies that are suspected to have conspired to swindle money from the county coffers.
