A woman from Samuget Village Kericho County was killed and her three daughters raped after a gang armed with crude weapons raided their home.
According to Kericho County commandant James Mugera, 78-year old Kiplangat Chepkwony was seriously injured after he was hit on the head with a blunt object.
A group of four men is reported to have descended on the old man while he was asleep and robbed him of Ksh.5000, his mobile phone before fatally hitting his wife Anna Chepkwony on the head.
The harmful gang that was armed with knives, chisels and iron bars also attacked the house help, Sheila Cherotich, leaving her unconscious.
During the 4am incident, the couple’s three daughters aged between 11- 29 years were sexually assaulted.
They are slowly recovering at the AIC mission hospital in Litein.
Police have commenced the investigation on the matter are currently man-hunting the four men.
