Oil Tycoon Daniel Wamahiu Makes Public Announcement For 2022 Election Bid

Business mogul and oil tycoon Daniel Wamahiu has announced that he will vie for the Nyeri Gubernatorial seat in the 2022 Election.

Making his decision public, he has accused the current county government of ignoring the people, and shunning the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the region.

Interestingly, while attending a funds drive on Saturday chaired by Governor Kahiga Wamahiu, he insisted that he still had the utmost respect for the governor because he was the one currently in power.

Prior to entering the road construction industry, Wamahiu had made massive investments in the oil business.

Initially, the former Kenya Pipeline Chairman had run for the Senator seat in 2017, but lost to fellow tycoon and road construction billionaire Ephraim Maina.

Nevertheless, Wamahiu has close ties to State House, and his candidature seems somewhat intimidating.

In fact, the billionaire hosted senior government officials, including President Uhuru Kenyatta to a house warming party.
