Manchester United fans furious as referee confirmed for Liverpool FC clash

Michael Oliver has been announced as the referee as Manchester United take on Liverpool in one of the biggest games of the Premier League season on Sunday.

Oliver will be tasked with keeping things under control in what is always a fiery encounter at Old Trafford.

He will be joined by Stuart Burt and Simon Bennett working as assistant referees while Andre Marriner is appointed as the fourth official.

Oliver, who has been a top-flight ref since 2010, last took charge of Liverpool in their 5-1 win over Arsenal in December.

He was the referee for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first game in charge of Man United as they defeated Cardiff City 5-1, the week previous.

United fans aren’t pleased to see Oliver given the game after his previous displays involving their side.
