A leopard attacked and killed at least nine goats in Kairo Village, Mathioya Sub-county in Murang’a county the night to yesterday.
The attack has sent a wave of fear among the residents who fear for teir remaining livestock and children.
The village is located near Aberdares National Park where the leopard is feared to have emerged.
Kenya Wildlife Service with the assistance of villagers and security enforcers have sprung into a hunting expedition to try track and tame the loose animal.
