A 13 yr old girl who had been sent to a shopping centre at around 7pm on Saturday was pounced upon by a ten man gang dubbed jesus in the area of Kitaima of Bomet.
The incident comes as at a time when cases of defilement being reported in the county are on the rise.
The Sub County Police Commander of Bomet, Geoffrey Walumbe confirmed the incident, citing that a bodaboda operator in the area had been arrested in connection with the incident.
Joseph Sitonik, medical service and public health CEC asured that the traumatised girl was recieving treatment and councelling.
Residents of Kitiama raised the concerns of the gang which they say have been stealingfrom residents, and raping women in the area.
