MCA comes to rescue of ODM party after failure to pay ksh 54,000 house rent

Political parties in Kenya have been engaging in family wrangles lately threatening the stand of the houses over divided personal political opinions that do not concur with the rest and rebellion from some members.

In Orange Democratic Party, this issues have led to a lock down on one of their offices over rent arrears.The West Sakwa party office in Migori County got closed after sustaninng arrear amounting to Ksh 54,000.

West Sakwa ODM party youth leader Evance Otieno said the office has been under lock-and-key for three months now after elected leaders who were paying the rent boycotted.

The region’s party Chairman, Juma Akoko, stated that they are presently looking for modalities to have a party ward office.

Area MCA Nestory Owiyo, however, said he had offered a room in his ward office for meetings as they sort out the issues of the office arrears.

He further stated that he had had offered to pay Ksh.20,000 to help in settling the arrears, adding that he advised other party leaders to contribute the remaining Ksh.34, 000
