While releasing the report, CEO for CUE Mwenda Ntarangwi warned employers to be wary of academic certificates bearing such courses and advised them not to recognize them.

The heads of the institutions offering the courses accused CUE of insensitivity as the courses were already being taught.

During the audit that produced the report, CUE slashed almost 30,000 slots from institutions that had already secured admissions for new students.

Tom Mboya university had most of the rejected programs, standing at 25. Moi University was found to be offering three of those programs.
