French President Emmanuel Macron will be gracing Kenyan soil next month.
This comes after a tweet from State House affirmed that the French Ambassador to Kenya has given the green light to Macron’s visit after paying a courtesy call to President Kenyatta in Nairobi.
While at the meeting, Presiden Kenyatta expressed his warmness at receiving the French President.
Mr Kenyatta expects that the new visit will be a bigger step to improving bilateral relations between France and Kenya.

In a statement to the press, Mr Kenyatta said that for years, Kenya has enjoyed stable bilateral ties with the French government, and he is pleased that these relations have continued to improve and become stronger. He, therefore, looks forward to meeting President Macron next month.

Additionally, in December of last year, the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma had expressed optimism that the country would soon host the French President, as well as the Italian President Mr Sergio Mattarella.
In his visit, president Macron will be expected to converse on the global climate agenda while he attends the United Nations Environmental Assembly of the UNEP from March 11 to 15 2019.
Moreover, it expected that Uhuru Kenyatta and President Macron will co-host the One Planet Summit for the global environmental agenda.
