Christine Lampard says she ‘still can’t believe’ she’s a mother as she reflects on the emotional moments leading up to birth of baby daughter Patricia

She welcomed her first child, Patricia, in September with football manager husband Frank Lampard.

And Christine Lampard admitted she ‘still can’t believe’ she’s a mother as she reflected on the emotional moments leading up to the birth of her daughter while returning to host ITV1’s Lorraine on Monday morning.

The TV personality, 40, explained the ‘tears started’ while in the delivery room as she opened up on new parenthood while standing in for main presenter Lorraine Kelly during half-term week.

Christine explained: ‘The doctor, just before the big moment, said you’re about to become a mummy and that’s when the tears started.

‘She’s [Patricia] doing very well on the sleeping front, but I still have that moment when I look at her and think, “I can’t believe you’re mine”.’

Christine also spoke about her experience giving birth: ‘It wasn’t too bad, it was what it was supposed to be, she thankfully was healthy and happy and you heard the little scream’.

After previously admitting she wishes husband Frank, 40, helped more with nappy changing duties, she gave fans an update on his hectic schedule as manager of Derby County Football Club.
