Emiliano Sala’s dog seen waiting for last goodbye at the footballer’s funeral

Emiliano Sala’s faithful dog Nala appeared to be in attendance on Saturday evening during the funeral of the former Cardiff City star who died in a plane crash. Football lovers around the world stormed the home town of late Emiliano Sala in Argentina to attend his burial and also paid their last respect to the star footballer.

Sala died while traveling from Nantes to join Cardiff City players as the plane he boarded crashed into the English channel and it took the authorities in charge two weeks to recover the wreckage.


And as the guests arrived to pay their respects in Argentina, it appeared that the loyal black labrador, called Nala, waited to see his coffin. The dog, according to the report by UK Sun was said to have followed Sala’s younger sister Romina to the venue of the funeral. There were also reports that Nala was the main reason Sala returned to France after signing for the Bluebirds. The report added that Sala and Nala lived together for three years until the player’s untimely death in which the footballer was even planning to take the dog to Cardiff.

“Nala, your faithful companionship is now ours. We never thought of giving her up for adoption. I will clarify this to ensure people are aware.” Emiliano Sala’s sister Romina said at the funeral. Earlier, it was reported how family members of Emiliano Sala who recently died in a plane crash broke down into tears when the body of the late football star arrived Argentina for funeral. Sala’s body was flown home to Argentina for the service which was held at the club he played for as a child on Saturday, February 16. Mirta Taffarel, Sala’s aunt, wept as the van carrying the coffin containing her nephew’s remains arrived.
