Jerome Boateng and Franck Ribery will be sidelines for Bayern Munich’s Champions league clash with Liverpool this Tuesday.
The pair are not included in the team that left for Anfield, England. Having become a father, Ribery has been given some time off to be with his family and Jerome Boateng was nursing a stomach virus, coach Niko Kovac said ahead of the team’s departure.
Kingsley Coman is also a doubt ahead of the clash after picking a ankle injury o Friday. Even though he scored a brace, the Frenchman was carried out in the late stages of their 3-2 win against Augsburg.
“It has improved a bit but we have to wait longer,” Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic told reporters. “We still have 36 hours until the game and a lot can happen. It is positive but we cannot says for sure (if he will play).”
The return leg will be on March 13 at Munich.
