Arsene Wenger reacts on Ramsey leaving Arsenal

With Aaron Ramsey set to join Juventus at the end of the season, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the transfer will be a loss to the Gunners.

Ramsey signed a pre-contract with Juventus that will see him make the switch at the end of the season on a free transfer. The Welshman played under Wenger for 10 years and the pair enjoyed relative success, lifting the FA Cup three times, with Ramsey twice scoring the winning goal.

Speaking at the Laureus Sport for Good presentation, Wenger said: “It will be a loss for Arsenal. I must say it will be an interesting move for Ramsey. He is a player who is great going forward. His main quality is he can keep the final ball and he makes interesting runs from deep.

“You don’t find many players today who can make midfield runs off the ball. It will be an interesting addition for Juventus.”
