Nigerian Artist Mr Flavour has shared his thought on why Kenyans are seemingly more inclined to Nigerian music.
The Singer mentioned that what is attractive about their music is their originality and the support they have for their own.
Mr Flavour also added that getting love from their people give them the confidence to thrive in a competitive industry.
Speaking to Citizen Tv, Mr Flavour says that once they feel the love and are settled at home in terms of the music industry aspect, it becomes easier for them to receive love from other countries as well.
A couple months ago, Kenyans took up a conversation in regard to play Kenyan music and apart from demanding more airplay some questions came into the picture.
What makes Kenyans resonate more with Tanzanian or Nigerian music instead of their own?
Kenyans and the media has all been advised to offer unconditional support to their local artists.
Mr Flavour insisted that uniqueness and originality is what places them on the top of the charts.
The Nigerian star pointed out that Nigerian artists like working hard since they know that the music industry is so competitive.
He says that could be the reason why they are doing so well in the International space.
He also added that there are Kenyan Musicians that are good in the game and he really appreciates and recognizes their talent.
Some of the artists he salutes are the legendary Sauti Sol and Madam Boss Akothee who he worked with in the song dubbed ‘Give it to me’.
Mr Flavour says that he does not mind working with some Kenyan artists in his future projects.
