Kivutha Kibwana installs milk processing plant in Kathonzweni

Governor Makueni county, Kivutha Kibwana launches milk processing plant in Kathonzweni.

Through the help of USAID Kenya, the milk processing plant has a capacity to pasteurize 1000 liters of milk per hour.

Governor Kivutha Kibwana has been facing ‘marital’ wrangles in his Wiper party as far as the heat for Kamba representation in national government is concerned.

Kibwana said residents gave him authority to work with party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, but under specified Muungano-Wiper MoU.

He dismissed claims by some Wiper leaders that he joined the party with the main aim of securing his second term. He added that it is Kalonzo who requested him to join.

Kibwana said he won the 2013 governor seat on the Muungano ticket and in 2017 victory was secured. The governor said he is not afraid of being ejected, but asked party leaders to respect recent history and truth.

Earlier in the month, Kibwana was told to stop attacking Kalonzo in public and instead reach out to him. With the fight for Kamba supremacy continues, he continues to do what he was elected for by the people.

He took to social media to thank the institutions for giving hand in providing residents with one of the biggest milk processing plant in Kenya.

“I wish to thank USAID Kenya for helping us install the Kathonzweni Milk Processing Plant, through the International Livestock and Research Institute(ILRI). The plant has a capacity to pasteurize 1000 liters of milk per hour,” he shared.
