Moses Kuria withdraws support for DP Ruto

Firebrand politician Moses Kuria has said he will no longer support the deputy president for 2022 presidential bid.

The controversial Central-Kenya politician said that in light of the political developments that have occurred in the recent past, it makes no sense to support the embattled deputy president

“He (Ruto) will be a very strong second to me…vote for vote I will (beat him),” he said.

Asked whether he has the financial muscle to match the DP, he said: “It is IEBC who will announce the winner not Central Bank of Kenya.

Ruto is rich but it doesn’t matter

“I am rich at heart. Ruto is only four years older than me…we are age mates,” he said.

The lawmaker maintained that he would not use governorship as a springboard to the highest seat on the land saying: “Did Uhuru run for Kiambu governor? Did Raila run for Siaya governor?

“Put round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes.”

When asked about his differences with Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kuria clarified that is nothing personal, just work.
