Christian Pulisic thoughts on Chelsea by the time he moves

Christian Pulisic says he is already looking forward to next season when he joins Chelsea on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old attacker has been loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of this campaign after we signed him from the German club last month, and he will join up with the Blues ahead of next season.

Maurizio Sarri’s side take on Malmo in the first leg of our last-32 Europa League tie in Sweden tonight and Pulisic, who has been watching us from afar since signing, is confident we will quickly get back to winning ways.

‘It’s tough for me to say,’ he replied, when asked about our recent form. ‘They’ve had some tough results but I know they’re going to work it out.

‘They’re a great team with great players and a good coach. So they’re going to figure everything out.

‘But obviously I’m definitely looking forward to next season.’

Pulisic was speaking after Borussia Dortmund were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham in the first leg of their Champions League round of 32 tie last night at Wembley, having started the game on the left-hand side of an attacking trio in behind striker Mario Gotze.

Despite the defeat, however, he insists the Germans still believe they can progress to the quarter-finals.

‘This team’s never going to give up, especially going home,’ he said.

‘We’re confident we can score three goals, no problem. It’s not going to be easy.

‘I’m not going to stand here and say we’re going to win but we’re going to go out, we’re going to fight and we believe. That’s all we can do.’
