Boychild swears thao shalt not use over a thousand bob this valentine’s.
The boychild chronicles don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. Kenyan youth have taken up the brand ‘boychild’ to fight for their rights and express their grievances and it seems it is here to stay .
Traditionally, the man is meant to be the provider in any relationship as well as the chaser and all that good stuff. Men from this generation however only half-assed acknowledge that responsibility.
As the ladies get all dolled up and excited to be with their men this Valentine’s day, waiting for their gifts and expensive dates they assume they deserve, men are as usual, rallying stubbornness.
The hashtag #ChiniYaThao was initially created to promote online shopping at AfricaSokoni who are having chini ya thao deals for Valentine’s. Our boychild have however taken over it this Thursday morning inciting each other against spending a shilling beyond one thousand shillings on their Valentine’s day gifts and dates.
You have to love Kenyan men for their rib cracking somewhat justified rants on social media and this is nothing short of comedy central, boy child edition.
Sometimes you just wanted to be friends with the girl.
But the squad needs results and and a report. So I decided to spoil her na kanyama ka 200 unga Iko apo ni Mia alafu nikam sort 200 ya fare. Hii yote Iko #ChiniYaThao Sema boychild ku economise.

Should Kenyan women therefore prepare for dates at Altona, Sanford and sons Fish and chips and the likes this year? But we all know men are all talk when together but they still do what she wants in the end.
