Tottenham have one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
In a fabulous second half display at Wembley, Spurs beat Borussia Dortmund 3-0 on Wednesday.
Jan Vertonghen was the hero for Spurs. The Belgian set up Heung-Min Son for the opener immediately after the restart.
Vertonghen then scored Tottenham’s crucial second goal in the 83rd minute. A Fernando Llorente header sealed the win.
Man United fans react
On Tuesday, Man United’s Champions League hopes were dealt a probable savage blow.
PSG won 2-0 at Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s winning run came to an end.
Solskjaer remains Man United’s interim manager until the end of the season.
Will the Norwegian get the job on a full-time basis?
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vs Mauricio Pochettino
When it comes to assessing who’ll be the next Man United boss, the current narrative is to pit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against Mauricio Pochettino.
After this week’s midweek Champions League results, many United fans now think Pochettino is again the top target.
Others think it’s still too early to make a judgement on which manager is the right man for the job.
And so now we have United fans being grateful for everything that Ole has done, but keen to snap up Pochettino as the permanent manager. Why do people want to rush in to a decision? Can we not see how Ole gets on first?

I’m a huge fan of what Ole Gunnar Solskjær has done and can definitely see him being a United manager one day in the future, but we simply cannot let Pochettino pass us. He could genuinely build a legacy. He’s impressed at Southampton and Tottenham. He has to be first choice.

I have enormous respect for what Poch has done at Spurs and I personally think he would be the best choice long term for us. But it’s not as easy as “just get him”. Nobody knows if he wants to leave Spurs & Levy definitely won’t want him to leave.

*Spurs lose
“Don’t think Pochettino is right for United, he’s not even won a trophy.”
*Spurs win
“Pochettino is working miracles at Spurs. They’ve not even spent any money this season. Imagine what he could do at United.”
*Repeat
