A postmortem report carried out on the body of the slain Human Rights activist Calorine Mwatha has further concurred with the police report that earlier noted that that she died while aborting and police has so fur netted seven people in relation to the matter.

The postmortem exercise was done at Umash Funeral Home following a series of failed attempts to handle it from Nairobi city Mortuary where Workers were on a Sit down strike, while addressing the media at the facility, Dr. Peter Ndegwa, said Ms Mwatha, a human rights defender, was “about 5 to 6 months pregnant with a male foetus.”
Caroline Mwatha died due to excessive bleeding following a botched abortion exercise, an independent pathologist has revealed while addressing the media at Umash Funeral Home where the autopsy was conducted, Dr. Peter Ndegwa, said Ms Mwatha, a human rights defender, was “about 5 to 6 months pregnant with a male foetus.” Said Dr. Ndegwa.
He further noted that somebody might have mistreated the foetus because it had no upper limp as it was seen to have sucked out because the uterus had been perforated at the back it let to excessive bleeding which caused her death.

“We also found some needle puncture marks on the right cubital fossa meaning that there was some medical intervention somewhere; and we have taken some test specimen to see what kind of medicine was injected.” Said the doctors.

Some leaked text messages on Mwatha’s phone also indicate the real truth about her death that she was exchanging with her side boyfriend who is believed to have been responsible for the pregnancy.
