World Radio Day is an observance day held annually on 13 February to celebrate radio as a medium[1]. It was proclaimed on 3 November 2011 by UNESCO’s 36th General Conference after originally being proposed by the Kingdom of Spain.

Today different Nations have stood to share the history as well as speak on the milestones that the Radio Platform has changed and improved with the boost of technology.

Jalango gave thanks to Radio Queen Caroline Mutoko who he says, believed in him when no one did by giving him the first opportunity out of trust.

He also sent out a message of gratitude to Radio Africa group among other top stations and his colleagues together with his radio fans.
