Why ladies love clean-shaven men like Mo Salah

Liverpool skipper Mo Salah last shocked a section of his fans when got his beard and sidebars clean-shaven.

While Salah may be free to do whatever he wants with his hair just like the sensational Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, there’s more to facial hair than just looking good.

A survey done in Britain, where the two stars play, indicated that ladies preferred men without facial hair.

In the survey that sampled some 2000 respondents, 43% of the women said they would not dare to date a clean-shaven man. Perhaps the reason some female fans expressed teir disappointment when the Egyptian forward cut all the hair from his face.

Salah’s Instagram post amassed well over 1 million likes in the space of just a couple of hours!

About 4 million Britons expressed their frustration about not being able to grow a full-beard, while another 2.6 million men felt awfully out of place for not being able to grow a beard at all.

Pressure to conform

“It’s important that people maintain their appearance for themselves rather than being hellbent on following the latest fad,” remarked Julian Smith, managing director at Bathroom Take-away.

Ladies prefer clean shaven men

A male model recently conducted a social experiment on Tinder to find out what type of hairstyle won him the most matches.

Ben Southerst, 29, from Earls Court, London, found that he received the most matches – 120 to be precise – when he was clean-shaven.

“I think that being clean-shaven does make me look a bit younger and I think that might help you to get matches on a site like Tinder,” he said
