Kabogo comes into DP Ruto’s defence after confession on Weston Hotel

Deputy President William Ruto shocked many after he confessed on live interview that the land where Weston Hotel is located was indeed acquired illegally by the owner.

Well former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has come out to defended DP William Ruto from criticism over the ownership of a parcel of land.

Kabogo absolved the Jubilee deputy party leader from any blame, saying the controversial land was disposed of by the government in an open process and any Kenyan could have acquired it.

While taking to his twitter account Kabogo wrote, “That land was available to be allocated to any Kenyan including yourself Bwana DP after civil Aviation was allocated land near JKIA. Just like sunshine school and others.”

He further added saying that KCAA ceased its claim on the piece of land estimated to be 0.72 hectares after it was allocated another land near the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Ruto maintains he was innocent in the controversial deal and has vowed to ensure the real owner is compensated.

“Reparations are being made constitutionally to restore the land to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority by demanding that those who sold the land to us must pay,” the DP said.
