Mexican mobster and drug lord Joaquin Guzman populary known as ‘El Chapo’ has been found guilty by a New York jury of crimes. El Chapo faces a poosible life sentence after he has been found guilty of multiple crimes.
For over 25 years, he has been head of the most powerful drug gang, the Sinaloa Cartel and he has been responsible for the smuggling of tone upon tones of coccaine, ‘meth’, heroine and marijuana into the United States.
El Chapo is infamously known for his audacious prison escapes from Mexican prisons that have even been subject for documentary makers. The New York jury of crimes also found him guilty of illegal possession of fire arms and money laundering.
His wife, string of lovers and henchmen took to the witness stand to testify against one of the most infamous drugs kingpin, in a three month long trial. The US government presented a total of 56 witnesses, and an array of incriminating evidence which included conversations secretly taped by informants,and intercepted calls between El Chapo and his associates.
