Beware: NSSF clears the air by exposing land fraudster antics

National Social Security Fund (NSSF) on Wednesday came out to address the issue that their property is being sold by fraudsters claiming to be part of their team.

Through a Public Notice shared on social media, the body noted that it owns land in Mlolongo and Katani within Mavoko Municipality in Machakos County.

NSSF purported that the fraudsters are selling plots within their properties to unsuspecting members of the public.

“This is to inform the general public that the NSSF has not authorized or engaged anyone to sell the properties on its behalf and the plots are not for sale,” the notice read.

The pension agency clearly outlined that the land mentioned is not for sale, urging members of the public to be wary.

According to the notice, members of the public should report any person claiming to be part of the NSSF team or purporting to sell off the pieces of land. It went further ahead and gave a link for any member to fill their returns

“The purpose of this notice is to caution members of the public against falling prey to the fraudsters,” NSSF added.

NSSF has termed the sale of the property as fraud and has indicated that they will not be liable for any losses incurred by potential buyers.

“NSSF will not take any responsibility for any loss arising from any such illegal transaction,” the notice concluded.
