you are the source of my problems, says Moses Kuria

Moses Kuria, Gatundu South MP,has accused the Majority Leader Aden Duale as the cause of his problems. Kuria who revealed this through his facebook account, highlighted that Duale had hatched a new plan that would see him removed from the Transport and Budget committees in Parliament.

Kuria who has differed with Duale on several occasions claimed his efforts at making Kenya a better nation were constantly frustrated to no end. He cited that a majority of the private bills that he has presented to the National Assembly were yet to see the light of day courtesy of Duale. He also claim that on account of Duale’s influence, none of his legislative proposals; From the NGO’s Reform Bill (2014) to the Coffee Bill, the Interest Rates Bill had ever been brought to the House.

Duale previously accused Kuria of seeking cheap publicity after the latter called for the formation of a 27-member committee to oversee the implementation of the president’s executive order. Kuria had suggested that a new parliamentary committee would oversee and oversight the newly created council that gives Interior CS Fred Matiang’i immense powers in government.

The Majority Leader had however stated that the changes made by President Uhuru Kenyatta did not have any impact on Parliament and that there would be no need to allocate similar roles that are already under various committees of parliament.
