Sonko offers Sh. 300,000 reward for information about Caroline Mwatha

Governor Mike Sonko has boosted the search of the missing human rights activist Caroline Mwatha by offering Sh300, 000 reward for information or any leads on the matter.

Police also have intensified  investigations under which Ms Caroline Mwatha Othieng, who worked with the Dandora Community Justice Centre went missing without a trace on 7th Thursday.


The governor urged anybody with information to contact the Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices or the nearest police station.
The case was first reported at Dandora police station (OB 65/08/02/19) but is now being handled by Buru Buru police Station.
On Monday, members of Dandora Justice Center in partnership with other human rights groups in Nairobi organized a vigil for Caroline.

Mwatha has been documenting cases of enforced disappearance and police extrajudicial killings in Dandora.
The police have extended her search to water bodies and forests in Nairobi and its vicinity after family members visited Hospitals and mortuaries in the city.
