Kisii nurses given ultimatum

Striking nurses in Kisii County have been given until Wednesday to respond individually to their letters of discipline, after receiving show cause letters.

A letter from the county secretary Patrick Lumumba to the chief officer health said a headcount will be done to establish which nurses have returned to work and those who have not.

On the other hand, the nurses’ union secretary Moses Riang’a said they will only respond to show cause letters received through their individual mail boxes and not sub county health offices.
