DP Ruto Finally Reveals why he is the most corrupt Kenyan

You cannot speak about corruption in Kenya without mentioning the name of William Ruto. The Deputy President was last year voted as the most corrupt Kenyan in history by IPSOS Synovate.

It is believed that the DP has grabbed almost every available piece of land in the country. And Ruto has now come out to defend himself against all the corruption allegations.

During a hard hitting interview with BBC Hardtalk, Ruto talked on a range of things including the controversial Weston Hotel.  Facing veteran journalist Stephen Sackur, this was one of the heated interview Ruto has faced since 2013.

And when he was asked why he was ranked as the most corrupt Kenyan in history, this is what the DP had to say:

“If you look at that Ipsos list that placed me as a leader perceived to be the most corrupt, it had William Ruto, a former president [Daniel Moi], the current president Uhuru Kenyatta, the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga… Largely, all the political leaders that exist today in Kenya were in that order. That tells you that the whole corruption narrative has been politicized.”

Do you think the corruption narrative has been politicized?
