What would you do with a million shillings? Wait, what about 4.5 million shillings?
Some weed peddlers are today 4.5 million shillings poorer despite the fact that they are also set to be guests of the state for a long time.
This comes after police nabbed a large consignment of Marijuana from a house in the estate near Kenyatta University in Kahawa Sukari Estate.
The marijuana, estimated to weigh about 1,140 kgs has a street value of Sh4.5 million. The one-ton consignment had arrived at the suburb in Kiambu County concealed inside a petrol tanker.
The suspects were nabbed as they offloaded the multi-million shilling weed into the house in broad daylight.
A suspicious neighbour saw them and immediately alerted the police who acted swiftly
The suspects are due to be arraigned in court today, Tuesday 12, 2019.
“The two will be taken to court tomorrow (Tuesday) as we investigate where they were transporting the bhang from,” said Mr Adiel Nyange, the Kiambu County commander.
