Church Organization pleads with Governor Mutua for help

A letter from a local church in Machakos has surfaced online asking for the governor to build them a bridge.

The letter from Verona Huruma Sacco-a church based organization formed in 1994 to uplift the living standards of the local members.

In the letter addressed to Machakos County Governor, Dr Alfred Mutua, the society is requesting permission from the governor to allow for the construction of a bridge that connects Verona Gardens from Kenol-Koma Road.

In part, the letter read, “Presently, the Society is undertaking a housing project (Verona Gardens) located at Donyo Sabuk/Komarock/Block 1 /33251 within Matungulu Sub-County. So far, we have managed to construct 12 Units which are ready for occupancy, while construction of a similar number of permanent houses is underway.”

It goes on, Ïn line with the Government of Kenya Big 4 Agenda, we humbly request your distinguished office to assist in finding a lasting solution to the challenge of accessing the site due to flooding of the seasonal river which cuts across the access/earth road  which lead to Verona Gardens from the newly-constructed Koma-Kenol tarmac road. ”
