Caroline body has been lying unidentified at City Mortuary

Police sources indicate the body of Caroline Mwatha has been lying at the City Mortuary since February 7, a day after she went missing.

Police have been working around the clock to trace her for close to a week. This, however, contradicts earlier reports as the family had said they had visited the mortuary but did not find the body.

The body of Ms. Mwatha was found at City Mortuary in Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon. Sources said that the woman’s body was booked at the morgue by a private citizen.

Her disappearance was reported at Buru Buru Police Station on Friday, February 8.

According to her friends, she was last seen at her home in Dandora on Wednesday morning, but since then her phone has remained off with her whereabouts still unknown.

On Monday, Haki Africa executive director Hussein Khalid said her mysterious disappearance, especially after reportedly receiving threats from police officers, raises questions.
