KANU Party official and “Ficha Uchi” founder, Billian Okoth Ojiwa, has been found two days after he went missing.

Mr Ojiwa on Tuesday, February 12 called his friend and told him that he was headed to Kilimani Police Station, where a missing persons report had been filed.

“He called me and said he is coming to Kilimani Police Station in ten minutes’ time,” said the mobiliser’s friend at 10:40am Tuesday.

Citizen TV reporter Elphas Lagat, who is at Kilimani Police Station, reports that Mr Ojiwa, however, rescinded his decision of showing up at the police post.

“His wife, Nerima Wako, has just left the station,” said Mr Lagat on phone at 11:20am. His wife, Nerima Wako, is the CEO of Siasa Place and a columnist with The East African.

Mr Ojiwa, who is in his early thirties, is best known for the Ficha Uchi Initiative, a programme he founded that gives school uniforms to needy children.

Ms Wako said she had filed a report at the station on Monday and was told to return on Tuesday morning.

Mr Ojiwa’s disappearance was a trending topic on Twitter on Tuesday morning, with concerned Kenyans sharing the news of his disappearance through #FindBillianOjiwa.

Mr Ojiwa is most known in Mathare, a slum area that nurtured him after completing his high school education.
