Angel Di Maria aims dig at Man United

United are back in the ascendancy and take on Paris St-Germain full of confidence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

With the Norwegian at the helm, the Red Devils have gone unbeaten – winning 10 out of 11 games and accumulating 25 points out of 27.

They face a depleted PSG side at Old Trafford tonight, who have Neymar, Edinson Cavani, Thomas Meunier and possibly Marco Verratti out.

It means Angel di Maria is an almost dead-cert to start against his former side, where he only spent one season.

The Argentinean became their record transfer when he signed from Real Madrid for £60m in 2014.

But after a bright start his form tailed off dramatically and he was offloaded to the Parisians the following summer.

And at the Parc des Princes, the 30-year-old has found a new lease of life where he has made over 150 appearances.

As the ex-Benfica winger prepares to take on one of his former sides, he has pulled no punches when talking about his time at Old Trafford.

“They never allowed me to do my best there,” Di Maria told the Media.

“I had problems with my coach (Louis van Gaal), but thank God I came to Paris Saint-Germain, where I returned to my old self.”

Meanwhile, ESPN pundit Julien Laurens has revealed that if you stop Paul Pogba you can stop United.

He said: “The relationship between Paul Pogba and his front three, especially with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

“We saw that in the Leicester game where Pogba found Rashford so easily with the ball in behind so I think that will be the focus for PSG.

“If you keep Pogba out of the game then you would be close to at least not losing the game.”
