Its been a depressing time for all who know a lost lady who has done nothing but touch the heartsof many who new her.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Monday joined in the search for missing activist Caroline Mwatha.

The governor promised a Ksh300, 000 reward for anyone who provides information about her whereabouts.

The founder member of Dandora Community Justice Center disappeared from her home in Dandora on January 6, under mysterious circumstances.

She was last seen at her house on Wednesday morning, but since then, her phone has remained off with her whereabouts still unknown.

On Sunday, Caroline’s father, Stanislas Mbai, told journalists that the family had searched for her at Kenyatta National Hospital, Mama Lucy Hospital, Dandora hospital and even City Mortuary.

“We are doing everything we can. We believe she is still alive because my son and her friends went to look at every mortuary, but she was not there,” he commented.

She had been documenting cases of enforced disappearance and police extrajudicial killings, including the cold blood murder of six Dandora residents in October last year.

Her search has also been extended to water bodies and forests in Nairobi and its vicinity.

Coordinator Wilfred Olal said they have written to relevant bodies to grant them access to forests and rivers.
