VIDEO: Mbosso speaks of his side hustle before his music journey

 

Tanzanian Singer Mbosso has  opened up about his hustle  before his success in the music industry.

Mbosso used to be a football player back in his home town Mbagala and  he even though that one day he would be one of the greatest footballers.

The Singer said that  he was so passionate about football and that was what he would do most on his free time.

Mbosso also used to sing at that point but  he was keeping it as a secret since he did not want to be associated with the music career.

The  Singer stated that  he would practice on  his vocals  but only told one of his friends about it.

Mbosso after the split of the Yamoto Band had to go back to his rural home and get  to start from scratch.

On his side hustle at that point, Mbosso stated that he used to sell fries and was employed in one of the local cafes for  about two years.

Mbosso said that he was forced to hustle after his father lost his job and being a first born,  he felt entitled  to provide.

That was his life before he walked on to his destiny to be among the top East African Artist.

On how this happened, Mbosso says that he knew Diamond from way back even before he joined Yamoto band.

They were both struggling to make ends meet at that point and after Diamond  launched his record label the two linked up again.

A year ago he was signed under the record label and his parents were initially doubtful that there is something good that will come from his music career.

However after they were informed that Diamond is part of the team that offered to hold his hands they were hopeful

Mbosso narrated this story on Wasafi Media when he visited his rural home and he says that his story is intentional so that people from humble backgrounds can believe that they can also make it.
