JKUAT STUDENT STABBED IN NIGHT MUGGING SUCCUMBS TO INJURY

A first-year JKUAT student was stabbed to death late last at 8 PM around Seagull near Highpoint.

Reports state that the first year College of Human Resource and Development Studies (COHRED) student was taking a jaunt in the company of her friend when the incident happened. The assailants allegedly stopped them and ordered the two to hand over their money and mobile phones.

Her friend willingly co-operated, but the victim, on the other hand, defied their orders. Thus forcing the assailants’ hand to stab her around the neck region. She later succumbed to the knife wounds in the neck upon arrival at the JKUAT hospital due to excessive bleeding.

In a notice circulating on social media, JKUSA officials have called for a peaceful demonstration following the murder the lady.


“This is to inform all students that we will be having a peaceful demonstration in Juja and its environs. Following a series of killings, most recent having been on 7th Feb 2019 near Seagull Hotel,” JKUSA officials wrote.

NOT THE FIRST

This comes barely a year after the body of the late Tabitha Kitaa Kiiti was found ditched in a bush next to Oasis hostels near Gate C.
