The Democratic Republic of Congo’s President Felix Tshisekedi is in Kenya as part of his first official trip since taking over last month.
The three-nation tour includes visits to Angola, Kenya and the Central African Republic.
The 55-year-old arrived in Nairobi on Wednesday morning, as is scheduled to hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was the only African Head of State during his inauguration ceremony.
Tshisekedi took over from Joseph Kabila after the DR Congo held its delayed presidential vote on December 30.
He beat his closes rival Martin Fayulu, who rejected the result of the vote alleging fraud.
President Tshisekedi earlier this week pledged to work closely with former leader Joseph Kabila, whose party commands a majority in parliament.

During his earlier visit to Angola, the DR Congo leader rejected claims of fraud in the December elections, saying it went well.

His inauguration provided the DR Congo with its first peaceful transfer of power since independence in 1960.
