Fate of 3 kenyan journalists involved in grisly road accident

Three journalists from the Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC) were, on Monday evening, involved in a grisly road accident near Molo town.

According to reports, News Editor Nicholas Kigonduand his colleagues were headed for a burial ceremony of the mother to the station’s Chief News Editor Graham Kirwa.

The three were admitted at St. Josephs Hospital in Molo.

Kigondu allegedly suffered severe head injuries prompting the medics to perform a surgery on him.

He was transferred to Nakuru PGH where he is currently recuperating. The other two journalists were treated and discharged from the hospital.

In a separate incident, three students were kiled after a lorry hit a stationary vehicle that was picking passengers along Kopany-Sori road in Homa Bay on Monday evening.

Two of the students, who were from Ojode Pala Secondary School, died on the sport while the other succumbed to injuries while being rushed to the hospital.

“The lorry veered off the road, hit a stationary Toyota Probox car and Ojode Pala Secondary School students as it tried to avoid hitting a pothole,” reported one witness.
