Chelsea boss makes a worrying statement about star

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has dismissed pundits’ criticism of midfielder Jorginho while claiming it’s impossible for him to supply assists in his role. The former Napoli midfielder has been below par in recent weeks, coinciding with a downturn in fortunes for the Blues. Sarri’s men dropped out of the top four as a result of a 4-0 beating by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in midweek.

“I just don’t think he [Maurizio Sarri] has got a clue. He said yesterday, ‘I didn’t see the signal of my work’. Neither did anyone else! We haven’t for weeks!” Sarri defended the Italy international, saying that he needs more time to adapt ti the Premier League. “It depends what you want from Jorginho,” he said ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Huddersfield.

“If you want the last pass then he hasn’t adapted. He’s able to move the ball but Jorginho usually plays 40 or 45 metres from the opposition goal. So it’s impossible for him to do the last pass, Jorginho is very good for another job.”
