Blow for Liverpool as two are injured

Ahead of their English Premier League clash against West Ham United, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez due to injuries.

Alexander-Arnold suffered a problem during the win over Brighton & Hove Albion on January 12th and has missed the last two matches against Crystal Palace and Leicester as a result.

Gomez who suffered a fractured leg back in December was also confirmed by Klopp to miss the Hammers clash as he remains on the sidelines with no return date set on his return.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the West Ham clash on Monday 4th February, Klopp ruled out the duo.

“No, both(Trent and Gomez) not [available]. [There’s] no return date for Joe. Trent is getting better and better and better. He is really close and I hope he is in full training next week, but not for Monday.”
