Kivutha Kibwana Drops a Bombshell But Has it Effects Been Felt by Wiper?

Kivutha Kibwana, a man who has been making headlines for both the right and the wrong reason is once again on the spotlight and this time not for launching a mega development project but for rubbing shoulders with his Party leader and Ukambani’s long known and recognized political kingpin Kalonzo Musyoka.

Calls to have the Makueni Chief resign from his position as Party boss have lately intensified due to his seemingly never ending rebellion.

Kalonzo’s close allies have time and again asked Governor Kibwana to move away from Wiper as he was causing unnecessary tension within the party by disrespecting his Boss.

Kibwana, seemingly having been fed up by the constant attacks has now said that he is ready to quit Wiper if his presence is no longer important.

Kibwana spoke on Thursday at Kwakathoka Agricultural Training centre at a public gathering.

“If the Wiper party’s leadership wants back it’s chairmanship or the Makueni governor’s seat, then am ready to quit the positions. So I ask my followers to be ready for anything,” Kibwana said.

The governor said it has been hard to work with the party and asked the community to take their complains to the party just as they did when they persuaded him to join Wiper.

Kibwana won his second term after decamping from Muungano Party to Wiper a few days before the 2017 general elections due to “public demand”.

He is the only Wiper-elected governor in Ukambani.
