President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration has seen major changes and as per yesterday after holding of the first cabinet meeting 2019, bigger distinct roles were given to some members of Uhuru’s top executive which was followed by caution from the president addresing the public that if any fail in duty there are lots of young blood ready to replace those inoffice

Following his appointment as the National Development Implementation and Communication Committee, Matiang’i will be dealing mostly with CSs and will be the overall coordinator, with Kinyua heading his secretariat.

Matiang’i will be deputized by Rotich who will ensure that there is money for the Big Four projects. It is reported that Uhuru has a good relationship with Rotich, having worked with him at the Treasury when the president was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance.

According to the new Executive Order issued by the President on January 22, Regional and county commissioners will have to inspect and approve any government project before payment is made.

The PS and Waita will work together to ensure that the provincial administration and all other government agencies deliver.

Kibicho’s role will be to manage the revamped provincial administration where all regional and county commissioners have been given the power to monitor and ensure the implementation of government projects.

Waita had been running the Presidential Delivery Unit but some government departments were not cooperating with his team forcing it to be expanded, with its officers’ spread all over the country with the mandate of monitoring government projects
